Responsibilities:
The position entails the maintenance of the Hydrocolloids and Agarose manufacturing facilities in accordance with all regulatory and FMC standards and the operation and maintenance of the steam plant and waste treatment facilities as required. This is a 10-hour day position, four days per week. Overtime and call-in time is expected.
A successful Maintenance Technician is able to perform maintenance activities in a way that protects the safety of personnel, plant equipment, and the community. Safety is paramounttheir actions must represent and demonstrate safe working practices for maintenance activities. The position may require the handling of hazardous or universal waste.
Activities include but may not be limited to pump repair, centrifuge repair, high or slow speed equipment repair, automotive repair, welding, pipe fitting, electrical, instrumentation, plumbing, and machining. A successful Maintenance Technician is able to perform maintenance activities in a way that protects the safety of personnel, plant equipment, and the community. Required Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and/or technical school degree
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of maintenance work experience is required.
