Experienced Purchasing Manager - Now Hiring! Our client in the Rockland area is seeking a Purchasing Manager who is experienced in commodities buying and negotiating. The successful candidate will be an independent, good decision maker with the ability to work well within a team, and as a supervisor. This position is responsible for promoting the most effective use of the company''s funds in order to secure the best value for each dollar expended. This individual must keep constantly apprised of economic and business situations as they affect purchasing policy and make decisions based on those changing conditions. A familiarity with ocean and rail transportation is a huge plus! A Bachelor''s degree is required, if the field of study was accounting, marketing, or engineering that is helpful.
